Utensil Holder

This rustic stoneware utensil holder suites many styles of kitchen from traditional to super modern. A few different pulling techniques are needed to lift all the clay for this form. A knuckle pull from the outside lifts the majority of the clay up. My handmade pottery is made in my small home studio on the outskirts of Sheffield. They are fired in a small gas kiln at the end of the garden. The reduction firing brings out the iron speckle in the clay in a way that can't be achieved in electric kilns.
