Meet the newest member of my kitchenware family – this rather handsome stoneware jug! Just like all my pottery, the main body began its life spinning on the potter's wheel. Then, while the clay was still wonderfully soft, the spout was gently coaxed out. After a little overnight rest, a handle was lovingly pulled from a lump of clay and carefully attached, creating that lovely, graceful curve.

Being reduction fired not only makes it wonderfully durable but also gives each one a unique speckle that fits perfectly with rustic interior design.
