One Pint Jug

The perfect handmade milk jug for your breakfast table. Each of these jugs are carefully handcrafted on the potters wheel to order. They are finished with a hand pulled handle from an iron rich stoneware clay. The jugs are dipped in my specially formulated lead free glaze around two thirds deep. This gives nice contrast between the toasted bare clay and light colour glazed surface. I also make a similar handmade jug in a one litre size.

This wheel thrown pottery was produced in my Sheffield studio and fired in a small specially built gas kiln. The flames give each pot a very unique look due to the different temperatures and amount of oxygen at each kiln location.

The size is perfect for serving milk at your breakfast table or for afternoon tea. It could also be used as a gravy or custard jug later in the day.
